The awards just keep on coming for the New York Jets. Their star defensive tackle is the latest on the list.
After another set of strong performances, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for October.
In five October games, Williams recorded 4.5 sacks, 23 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, 12 quarterback hits, a forced fumble and even a pass defended.
He was a key factor in the Jets going 4-1 in that stretch, including four straight wins. A much-deserved award for the leader of the Jets’ defense.
