The Buffalo Bills helped make NFL history on Tuesday.
At 4 p.m., the trade deadline for the league came and passed. Before that, the Bills (6-1) and general manager Brandon Beane clocked in with two moves.
Buffalo sent running back Zack Moss and a draft pick to the Indianapolis Colts for running back Nyheim Hines. They also made a second, re-acquiring safety Dean Marlowe from the Atlanta Falcons.
In total, league-wide, there were 10 trades made on Tuesday. That double-digit total turned out to be NFL history: That’s the new record for the most trades made on any trade deadline day in football history.
Overall, 12 players were on the move as well, the most players dealt in the past 30 years on deadline day.
While the Bills popped in with two trades made on the final day, they weren’t alone.
Along with Buffalo, the Denver Broncos, Falcons, and Miami Dolphins were among clubs that made multiple deals on the final day to do so on Tuesday.
It was a wild–the wildest trade deadline in NFL history and the Bills were right in the midst of it.
