Lions trading tight end T.J. Hockenson to Vikings

T.J. Hockenson is traded but stays in the NFC North, going from the Lions to the Vikings

A strange move on trade deadline day by the Detroit Lions.

The NFC North team dealt tight end T.J. Hockenson in the division to the  Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota sends a 2023 second-round pick and 2024 third-round pick to Detroit for Hockenson, a 2023 fourth-round pick, and a 2024 conditional fourth-round pick.

The Lions and Vikings play their second game on Dec. 11 at Ford Field.

Hockenson had 3 receptions for 18 yards and a TD against his new team in Week 3.

He has 26 catches, including 3 TDs, for 395 yards in 2022.

Hockenson was chosen No. 8 overall by the Lions out of Iowa in the 2019 draft.
