The Green Bay Packers are starving for playmakers and they’re set to not have their top man against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8.
According to Packers Wire, receiver Allen Lazard does not expect to suit up in Buffalo (5-1) due to a shoulder injury. Lazard was originally injured in Green Bay’s loss (3-4) to the Washington Commanders last week when he suffered a shoulder injury.
Lazard said he heard a “snap, crackle, pop,” when he was hurt.
In addition to Lazard, the Packers’ second-leading wideout, Randall Cobb (ankle), is also out.
That will put the pressure on Green Bay’s other receivers. One that comes to mind is Sammy Watkins.
The former Bill was taken off injured reserve (hamstring) and played last week.
Along with Watkins, rookie second-round wideout Christian Watson (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday per Packers Wire.
Essentially, it’s two out and two, who have limited experience playing with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, in, for Green Bay, ahead of their visit to Buffalo.
