Watch: Klay Thompson picks up first ejection of his career on Tuesday vs. Suns

For the first time in his career, Klay Thompson was ejected from a game on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns.

Through nine seasons in the NBA, Klay Thompson has done a lot of different things in his career. Four championship rings, five All-Star bids, All-NBA teams and even a three-point contest championship are on Thompson’s resume.

However, on Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns, Thompson experienced a career-first.

As the Golden State Warriors’ contest against the Suns began to heat up in the third quarter. Thompson and Suns guard Devin Booker appeared to be jawing back and forth with each other. After Thompson swatted away one of Booker’s jumpers, the pair were assessed with a double-technical.

Despite the technicals, the chatter between Thompson and Booker didn’t slow down. Just minutes later, Thompson picked up his second technical and was ejected from the contest due to jawing with Booker and the Suns’ bench.

Tuesday marked the first time in Thompson’s nine-year career he was ejected from a regular-season game.

Following Thompson’s ejection, an entertaining back and forth battle turned into a blowout favoring the home team. The Suns ran away with Tuesday’s contest against the Warriors, 134-105.
