On Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors will unveil a new banner at San Francisco’s Chase Center, along with receiving their 2022 championship rings.
Prior to the start of the 2022-23 regular season, Klay Thompson shared an emotional post on social media with a message from Kobe Bryant. The Warriors sharpshooter shared an interview of Bryant in which he praised Steph Curry and Thompson’s instincts on the court. The late legendary Hall of Famer referenced Curry and Thompson when asked about players around the league who have the “Kobe instinct.”
Along with the video, Thompson shared a deep caption about Bryant’s influence during his comeback process and how he thinks about his words before suiting up for the Warriors.

During the comeback / rehab process , I continually wondered if I would be the same player I was before the injuries.
I watched this Kobe interview daily to remind myself to attack every weight room session, shooting work out, one on one, and 5 on 5 scrimmage with the same killer instinct he brought to EVERYTHING he did.
I am so grateful he said these things about Steph and I . I think about these words every time I put on the Warriors uniform.
Lastly, I am so thankful to be starting the season healthy and will do everything I possibly can to help this team win # 5 .
