It wasn’t a good weekend for Notre Dame football. Sure, they landed a commitment from their top-rated running back in a decade when Jeremiyah Love announced his pledge to [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and company on Saturday, but the stunning loss to lowly Stanford soured the weekend.
If nothing else, at least Notre Dame fans can take a bit of pride knowing that former All-American defensive back [autotag]Julian Love[/autotag] played a huge role in the New York Giants comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens.
The Giants were trailing 20-17 with three minutes to play when MVP candidate Lamar Jackson mad an ill-advised pass into coverage. To the surprise of nobody that watched him at Notre Dame, Julian Love picked the pass off and returned it to the Ravens 13-yard line.

Three plays later Saquon Barkley plunged ahead for a one-yard touchdown run and put the Giants ahead for good, 24-20.
The Giants continue to be a surprise in the first half of the NFL season as they’re now 5-1 on the year after going just 4-13 a season ago.
