Michigan State wins overtime thriller over Wisconsin on homecoming

It took two overtimes and the Spartans had to overcome one of the sloppiest games we have seen from them, but they got it done, as Michigan State football was able to take down Wisconsinn 34-28 in the second overtime period.

The Spartans were able to seal the win on an impressive touchdown reception by Jayden Reed, who had 117 yards and a touchdown on the day. On the other side, Keon Coleman also impressed with two touchdowns and 79 yards. Maliq Carr also emerged in this game with a 72 yard reception.

The other hero of the game was Jacoby Windmon, the man who has consistently been the best player on MSU’s defense pulled down an interception and also forced a key fumble on Wisconsin star Braelon Allen in overtime.

The Spartans also seem to have found something, somewhat, on the ground after fully inserting Elijah Collins into the rotation there. The pair combined for 102 yards on the night and two touchdowns.

Payton Thorne, to his credit, was efficient today, throwing for 265 yards and two touchdowns on 21-for-29 passing.

This was a must-win game for the Spartans to help going into a bye week where they can lick some of their wounds before playing a red-hot Michigan squad who is looking for some revenge.
