The Washington Commanders were so close to snapping a three-game losing streak in Sunday’s Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Unfortunately for the Commanders, quarterback Carson Wentz was intercepted in the end zone on Washington’s final play from scrimmage, sealing a 21-17 win for the Titans.
Washington is now 1-4 on the season and prepares for a short week as the Commanders travel to Chicago to battle the Bears on Thursday Night Football.
There were plenty of highlights for Washington in its loss to the Titans. Wentz had two big touchdown passes to wide receiver Dyami Brown — the first two of his NFL career. Sunday also featured the inspirational return of rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr.
But Tennessee running back Derrick Henry proved too much for Washington as the Titans left Landover with their third consecutive victory.
