No. 19 Tennessee (8-3-1, 4-1-0 SEC) defeated Missouri (4-6-1, 1-2-1 SEC), 2-0, at Regal Soccer Stadium Thursday.
Goalkeeper Lindsey Romig recorded four saves for the Lady Vols.
Tennessee was outshot by the Tigers, 15-14. Four of Missouri’s shots were on goal. Six of Tennessee’s scoring chances landed on goal.
The Lady Vols took a 1-0 lead when Taylor Huff scored in the 57th minute. Huff’s fourth goal of the 2022 season was assisted by Claudia Dipasupil.
Tennessee extended its advantage to 2-0 when Jaida Thomas scored in the 88th minute. The goal was Thomas’ 11th in 2022. Mackenzie George was credited with an assist on the game’s second goal.
Thomas has scored in three consecutive games.
