This is an interesting season for Michigan State basketball. The Spartans have no clear standout star player going into 2022-23, but will be looking for that player to emerge. There have been whispers about AJ Hoggard taking a major step, but it is Malik Hall who has the attention of the media, as he was just named to the 2022-23 preseason All-Big Ten team.
We have seen some amazing flashes from Hall, who is the definition of a ‘tweener’ forward who can play both spots. He has shown an ability to shoot the rock at times and he has a sneaky good package of moves to get himself to the basket. If he can play to the level of an All-Big Ten player as the media labeled him today, this will be a very interesting year for MSU.
