The Tigers have offered a defensive line commit for the 2023 class, but they might have to work extra hard to land him.
The player in question is California product Deijon Laffitte, but he’s already made up his mind — at least for the moment. Laffitte is currently committed to the USC Trojans, a decision he made back in September, but that also hasn’t stopped him from scheduling more visits and keeping his recruiting process generally fluid.
Laffitte hasn’t scheduled any visits to the Plains at this time. His next planned visit is to Bryan Harsin’s old school, Boise State, and he’s scheduled to take that on Friday. It’ll be hard to be as persuasive as Lincoln Riley and company, though, as Laffitte visited the Trojans on Sept. 17 and committed just five days later.
At the moment, the Tigers are ranked No. 56 in the nation for the 2023 recruiting class. The team has two defensive line recruits in the class: Four-star Wilky Denaud and three-star Jamarrion Harkless.
