One of the most interesting matchups between the Seahawks and Lions on Sunday will be on the boundary between DK Metcalf and Jeff Okudah.
Through three games, Detroit’s young corner has been one of the stingiest DBs in the league in coverage. So far he’s allowed just 5.4 yards per target, no touchdowns and a 74.6 passer rating. Considering the competition he’s faced those are pretty impressive numbers. Okudah has lined up across from DeVonta Smith, Terry McLaurin and rising superstar Justin Jefferson – who he held to just three catches and 14 yards.
Metcalf was asked about facing Okudah during his press conference on Wednesday. He called Okudah a good corner. However, he also said he’s not really locking people down because he has safety help over the top.
DK Metcalf was asked about Lions CB Jeff Okudah “locking down” three really good receivers the past three weeks, and what Metcalf has seen of him on film.

To begin the season Metcalf’s production has been a little sluggish, but that has more to do with targets than anything else. Through three games he has 16 catches, 134 yards and one touchdown.
