Social media reacts to the Oklahoma Sooners domination of Nebraska

Oklahoma is dominating the Cornhuskers at halftime and Sooner Nation loving it.

It’s safe to say that the Oklahoma Sooners travel. The Sooners took care of the Nebraska Cornhuskers 49-14 in a game that was only close through the first few minutes of the game.

After Nebraska marched down the field on their first possession of the game for a touchdown, the Sooners responded with a score of their own and completely took over the game from there.

Oklahoma scored 49 unanswered points, getting touchdowns from a variety of players.

Six different Sooners factored into the scoring. Eric Gray was fantastic, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 10.3 yards per carry on the day.

Marcus Major also had a couple of touchdowns, including a receiving touchdown from Brayden Willis, who took the screen pass and threw a perfect ball to Major who was wide open.

Dillon Gabriel opened Oklahoma’s scoring with an incredible 61-yard touchdown run to tie the game at seven before finding Jalil Farooq with a dime to put the Sooners up 14-7, and Oklahoma never looked back.

The defense added to the dominant performance as well hounding quarterback Casey Thompson for four sacks and earning nine tackles for loss. They held Nebraska to 4.3 yards per play and the Cornhuskers didn’t score their second touchdown of the game until the final few minutes of the contest.

From the second quarter, Oklahoma was in complete control of the game to move to 3-0 on the season and put the nation on notice.
