When the Washington Commanders spent their first-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft on Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson, there were more than a few quizzical brows among fans and analysts alike.
After Dotson’s performance in Sunday’s 28-22 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, nobody will be wondering why the Commanders thought him worthy of a top-20 selection.
Dotson found the end zone twice in his NFL regular-season debut, hauling in multiple touchdown passes from Washington quarterback Carson Wentz, showing off the same big-play ability that made him a star in the Big Ten for the Nittany Lions:
