Even though the Brooklyn Nets were able to get superstar Kevin Durant to re-join the roster to make a playoff push this season, the franchise could still use some help in terms of their depth and there is a pretty spectacular free agent option, Carmelo Anthony.
NBA insider Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report ranked all of the best landing spots for the veteran free agent. Earlier last month there was a report that Durant wanted the front office to sign Anthony, but other reports suggested this was untrue.
“Still, in spite of the shaky track record of active players molding their own teams’ rosters, you can see where KD is coming from (assuming the initial report is true). Brooklyn recently signed Markieff Morris, but the frontcourt still feels a little thin. As currently constructed, Ben Simmons and Durant might have to play some 5, and those lineups could use shooting at the 4. Anthony can provide that in limited minutes, and given the recent durability of Durant, Simmons and Morris, Melo could find himself playing a bit more than expected.”

At the very least, Carmelo Anthony will help sell jerseys and tickets, so it’s a win-win type of deal.
