Quinn Ewers is built to lead a football team. He will have a chance to do just that against Louisiana-Monroe Saturday.
As expected, Ewers will be the focal point for Texas in the season opener. Nevertheless, his head coach Steve Sarkisian believes he is built for this moment.
Sarkisian had the following to say of his starting quarterback.
In the end, he’s playing a game that he’s been playing his whole life, and he’s been really good at it. I expect him to play really good in this environment as well.
Ewers was born with traits that make him a natural leader. His personality, temperament and self-assuredness would figure to have a positive effect on his teammates.
Steve Sarkisian on Quinn Ewers, maybe shaking off rust: "In the end, he's playing a game that he's been playing his whole life, and he's been really good at it. I expect him to play really good in this environment as well."

How the young signal-caller will perform is still to be seen, but he has all the traits necessary to be successful at this level. In Sarkisian’s offense, the generational talent is likely in store for a productive season.
