Luke Knox, FIU player, brother of #Bills TE Dawson, passes away:

Luke Knox, the younger brother of Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox, has suddenly died.

Luke Knox, 22, transferred to Florida International University (FIU) where he played linebacker for their college football team after spending four years at Ole Miss. Further details were not yet made available.

The FIU football program first made the announcement:

“Words cannot express the heartfelt sorrow we feel because of the passing of our teammate and friend Luke Knox,” FIU coach Mike MacIntyre said via school release. “I had the honor of coaching Luke at Ole Miss and FIU. While I admired his passion for football, his genuine love for his family and teammates is what I will always remember. He had a special way of making everyone around him feel comfortable and confident. Luke’s family is special to me, and they will continually be in my heart and prayers during this difficult time.”

During his time at Ole Miss, the Knox brothers suited up for the team together in 2018. At the ensuing 2019 NFL draft, the Bills selected Dawson Knox, a tight end, with a third-round pick.

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott made his usual appearance with the media on Thursday. See the attached video below for his comments on the tragic news:
