Former Florida quarterback [autotag]Kyle Trask[/autotag] was taken in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and served as an understudy to the legendary Tom Brady during his rookie year. After the latter vacillated on his retirement decision during the offseason but ultimately decided to return, the Gator gunslinger was forced to wait another year before his chance at the top role.
However, Trask’s efforts this offseason appear to have earned him an opportunity to earn the QB2 spot despite competition from Blaine Gabbert, who the franchise re-signed for the third time. The prolific passer put on an impressive performance during the first live competition of his second year against the Miami Dolphins, completing 25 of his 33 passes for 258 yards including a touchdown while tossing an interception in the 26-24 loss.
Take a look below at highlights from former Florida Gator Kyle Trask’s preseason-opening game on August 13 in Tampa, Florida.
