It isn’t long until the college football season kicks off, but some Auburn players are already getting recognized.
In PFF’s new preseason All-SEC list, four Auburn players were listed across three teams — running back [autotag]Tank Bigsby[/autotag], defensive lineman [autotag]Colby Wooden[/autotag] and punter [autotag]Oscar Chapman[/autotag] were all named to the second team while defensive lineman [autotag]Derick Hall[/autotag] got a nod on the third team. The Tigers also got an honorable mention, too, with [autotag]Keiondre Jones[/autotag] just missing out on the third-team list.
Auburn’s defense certainly seems to be drawing the most hype this year before the start of the season, with Wooden, Hall and players like [autotag]Owen Pappoe [/autotag]making early impressions in camp and in the media before the start of the season. Bigsby, however, is expected to be one of the best running backs in the SEC, and this upcoming year could be very important for his draft stock moving forward.
These players (and more) will get their first opportunity to prove they deserve their preseason honors when the Tigers kick the season off against the Mercer Bears on Sept. 3 at home.
