Earlier this week news dropped that longtime Brooklyn Nets employee Matt Riccardi will be leaving the Brooklyn Nets organization for the Dallas Mavericks front office.
Riccardi has been working for the team for over 13 years, where he started as an intern and has moved up the later as the head of scouting for the Nets and the General Manager of the Long Island Nets.
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on Twitter over the weekend, saying that Riccardi will be in a senior front office role with Dallas. Riccardi is a Texas native but is beloved by the fan base as he’s known for his internship interview drive from Plano, Texas all the way to East Rutherford, N.J.
Riccardi isn’t the first staff member to leave the organization as the team has lost assistants and various other office employees just his offseason.
Following the news that Kevin Durant has reiterated his trade request, it’s safe to say that the state of the team is still not stable.
