2023 four-star cornerback prospect Braeden Marshall has committed to UCF. He announced the news on Twitter.
Marshall’s commitment to UCF is very surprising. On July 23, he tweeted that he was down to three schools: Nebraska, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. So, UCF appeared to be out of the running.
Marshall attends Lake Mary High School in Lake Mary, Florida, so he will remain in his home state.
247 Sports Composite ranks Marshall as the 40th-best cornerback in the 2023 class.
According to MaxPreps, Marshall had 28 total tackles and three interceptions last season.
While missing out on Marshall is disappointing, it is not too devastating. The Cornhuskers looked like a late riser for Marshall. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine only gave the Cornhuskers a 1.8 percent chance to land Marshall, which was tied for the fifth-best odds.
