Ja’Marr Chase says he moonlights as Joe Burrow’s personal shopper

“Joe literally won’t buy his own clothes,” Chase told GQ. “He always asks me to shop for him and drop it off at the house.”

Since becoming the first overall pick in the NFL draft and leading the Cincinnati Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance, the legend of Joe Burrow has taken on a life of its own.

Burrow has earned the nickname “Joe Cool” thanks to his calm demeanor and, more importantly, sense of style. But that image may have taken a hit recently thanks to some comments Ja’Marr Chase, his college-turned NFL teammate who is quickly on his way to becoming one of the league’s top receivers, made in an interview with GQ.

The profile features some interesting insights into Chase and specifically, his relationship with Burrow. But perhaps the most interesting line had to do with Burrow’s style, when he admitted that the star quarterback rarely buys his own clothes, with Chase shopping on his behalf and delivering the clothes to his house.

“Joe literally won’t buy his own clothes,” Chase told the magazine. “He always asks me to shop for him and drop it off at the house. He’s not really into fashion like that, he cool with his li’l khakis and skinny jeans.”

Reuniting the pair this fall quickly made an impact on the field. Chase had a phenomenal rookie season, finishing with 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns while easily capturing the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

And it seems he deserves even more credit than that as it seems he’s the mastermind behind Burrow’s style.
