Jayson Tatum shows support for Celtics teammates: ‘I love our team’

Jayson Tatum answered questions about the rumors that Jaylen Brown was offered in a trade for Kevin Durant.

The NBA world has been absolutely shaken with the rumors that the reigning Eastern Conference champions, the Boston Celtics are pursuing a trade of disgruntled Brooklyn Net Kevin Durant.

Last night at the premiere of documentary NYC Point Gods both Durant and Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum were spotted on the red carpet. Durant helped produce the project, which will premiere on Showtime July 29 at 9 p.m. ET.

Reporters were able to ask Tatum about the trade rumors in which he responded, “I love our team. I just go out there and play with my teammates. I don’t put that hat on to make decision.”

Tatum tried to defend Boston, “I don’t believe everything I see on TV, I’ve seen some (expletive) about me that was a lie.  You never really know what is true and what’s not true.”

Tatum also spoke about his experiences with Durant, relating back to their time together in Tokyo. “I’ve played with him during the Olympics, he’s a great player. That’s not my decision. I love our team. I love the guys that we got.”
