On Wednesday, the New York Giants announced the return of their classic — or “legacy” — red, white and blue uniforms with navy “GIANTS” helmet. They will be worn against the Chicago Bears in Week 4 and the Washington Commanders in Week 13.
“This era obviously still holds a special place in the hearts of Giants fans,” Giants President John Mara said. “Our teams during that time featured legendary players, some of the best in our franchise’s history. And these uniforms remind us of what was accomplished through those years. We are thrilled to wear that uniform again.”
Fans were understandably excited for the news but they weren’t alone. Current and former members of the Giants were also quick to share their thoughts and excitement over the legacy uniforms.
