Kenny Anderson has message for Nets stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving

Former New Jersey Net Kenny Anderson took to Twitter with an encouraging message for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

As the NBA offseason progresses and the Brooklyn Nets continue to work on trading disgruntled stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, former Net Kenny Anderson has a message for the duo.

Anderson took to Twitter in an effort to encourage the superstars in Brooklyn to reconsider their trade requests. Anderson posted a picture of the two with the caption, “Make one more run together my guys!!”

The trade requests come only two years after the duo decided to team up, where Durant left a championship-caliber team in Golden State and Irving left a playoff-bound Celtics team.

The duo didn’t seem to last long but former Anderson believes the two should put aside their differences with the organization and make another playoff push. Richard Jefferson, another former Net, agrees with Anderson’s position that Durant should stay in Brooklyn with Irving.

Anderson played in the NBA for over a dozen years, serving his first four in New Jersey with the Nets. In his third year, he averaged a career-high in points with 18 points per game and racked up nearly double-digit assists per contest (nine).
