Texas is hoping to land another one of Louisiana’s top prospects in the 2023 class.
The Longhorns landed five-star quarterback Arch Manning and five-star safety Derek Williams out of the state recently. Now, four-star cornerback Jordan Matthews is starting to trend toward Texas.
The Baton Rouge native is rated the No. 10 overall recruit in the state and the No. 16 cornerback in the country for the 2023 recruiting class, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
Matthews received a Rivals prediction from Jason Suchomel on Thursday. Rivals, On3 and 247Sports now all favor Texas to land Matthews, with LSU next in line.
