Lady Vols’ pitcher Ashley Rogers will return to Tennessee for a fifth season in 2023.
Rogers was injured for a portion of the 2022 campaign. She will take advantage of an extra year due to the coronavirus pandemic, which prematurely ended the 2020 season.
The right-handed pitcher and Athens, Tennessee native has etched her name throughout the Tennessee softball record book during three full seasons.
Her career earned run average of 1.68 ranks third in program history. Rogers’ 59 victories rank seventh, while 633 strikeouts and 19 career shutouts both are fifth in Lady Vols’ program history.
Rogers held opposing hitters to a .157 batting average and averages 8.95 strikeouts for seven innings. She holds second place in both categories, trailing only Monica Abbott.
