Texas’ historic postseason run continues.
The Longhorns defeated Arizona 5-2 on Sunday evening in an elimination game of the Women’s College World Series to advance to the semifinals. Unranked Texas is now slated to face No. 6 Oklahoma State on Monday.
Texas will need to defeat Oklahoma State twice in order to reach the finals, which will be a three-game series against No. 1 Oklahoma or No. 5 UCLA.
Mike White’s squad becomes only the second unranked team in Women’s College World Series history to make it to the semifinals. On top of that, the Big 12 conference has three teams among the final four still standing.
Earlier this season, the Cowboys got the best of the Longhorns in Stillwater, defeating Texas in all three matchups.
