The Tigers’ run in Hoover at the SEC Tournament came to an end on Saturday in an elimination game against the Kentucky Wildcats, who continued their impressive run as a No. 12 seed into the semifinals.
After a 1-2 performance this week, LSU hasn’t done much to greatly impact its resume as a potential regional host. The Tigers won’t know which teams they will face in a regional until Monday’s selection show, but they will find out whether they are staying home or hitting the road for the first weekend of action on Sunday night.
At 7:30 p.m. CT, the selection committee will announce the 16 regional host sites with specific teams and seeding being announced the following day. In the latest bracket projection from D1Baseball, the Tigers are the No. 2 seed in the Louisville Regional hosted by the No. 12 national seed Cardinals. Also in the regional in that projection are Old Dominion and Ball State.
LSU will hope for a surprising host selection, but it doesn’t seem very likely at the moment. Still, here’s how you can watch as the full bracket is revealed on Monday.
