Three-star offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler talks Rutgers official visit in June

Three-star Tommy Kinsler is planning to visit Rutgers football in June.

Three-star offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler is planning on visiting Rutgers football on June 10. It is a big moment for the Scarlet Knights to make an impression on an offensive lineman who has some huge offers.

A class of 2023 recruit, Kinsler’s visit to Rutgers in June will be an official visit.

A 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive lineman at Trinity Catholic (Ocala, FL), Kinsler is predictably powerful but moves very well. In fact, the offensive tackle can dunk.

He holds Power Five offers from Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Missouri, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Tennessee and West Virginia. Rivals ranks him as a three-star recruit.

He spoke with RutgersWire on Friday about his upcoming visit to Rutgers. He highlighted his relationship with offensive line coach Augie Hoffman.

“Growing up, I wanted to play an ACC or the Big Ten. So once I got the offer from Rutgers, I had to jump on the official. I got to know coach Hoffman first,” Kinsler said.

“Then once I got to know him, and he showed me and connected with me and stuff, I knew I had to get on an official visit going right away so I can get out there and see everything.”

It will be Kinsler’s first time visiting New Jersey.

He will be taking an official visit to Florida, Florida State, Miami and Tennessee as well.

Rutgers is consistently communicating with Kinsler, and he says the relationship with the program is strong. He is open to the idea of leaving Florida to play his college football.

On Friday, Kinsler had his spring football game at Trinity Catholic. To his knowledge, one college coach showed up.

“Me and coach Hoffman and all the staff, we talk every day. We have a strong bond going. Coach Hoffman was just down here for my game yesterday,” Kinsler said.

“That’s how I know he is serious about recruiting me. I like that.”
