Former Alabama players are all over the NFL. Some teams have multiple, others have just a lone former member fo the Crimson Tide and few have none.
These players that came through Tuscaloosa range from incoming rookies to seasoned NFL veterans with over a decade of professional experience under their belt.
Pro Football Focus’ Trevor Sikkema listed the top-25 players in the NFL under the age of 25 and three of those players were once Alabama stars.
20. Patrick Surtain II, Denver Broncos (CB)
“Surtain stepped into the NFL game and looked like a veteran, which is insanely difficult to do at any position, let alone cornerback,” writes Sikkema. “While most young starters are trying to figure out the speed of the game in their first year or two, Surtain acted like he’d been playing at that level for years coming from Alabama. He allowed just a 56% completion percentage into his coverage on 530 pass snaps.”
