Listen to thrilling Rangers radio call of Artemi Panarin’s sensational Game 7 OT winner

“IT’S IN! IT’S IN! IT’S OVER!”

The New York Rangers are advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs thanks to a rocket of a shot from Artemi Panarin!

After New York tied the game up late against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Panarin became the hero for the Rangers faithful with the overtime game-winning goal at the tail end of a power play. Brock McGinn took an ill-advised holding penalty, putting the Rangers on a crucial power play just a few minutes into the overtime frame.

While the Rangers got some good looks on the power play, Panarin’s wrist shot from the right circle squeaked through Tristan Jarry in the dying seconds for the game winner. Here’s how the goal was called on the Rangers radio and on MSG with Sam Rosen!

Pretty awesome, huh! Here’s how the heartbreak went down on the Penguins side of things.

The Penguins held a 3-1 lead in the series but squandered multiple opportunities to put this Rangers team to bed. But good on the Rangers for battling back and winning a hell of a playoff series!
