When Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry suited up to meet the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 4 on Monday night, he donned a special pair of sneakers to honor a late NBA legend.
Curry paid tribute to longtime broadcaster Craig Sager with a special pair of orange Curry Brand Flow 9s for Game 4. According to Nick DePaula of ESPN, the shoe design was inspired by Sager’s suit and tie he wore in his final interview with Curry in 2016.

After the Warriors won their 67th game, Craig Sager asked @StephenCurry30 if he considered resting.
“Seeing you and doing what you’re doing. We’ve got no excuses. You’re an inspiration for us to…keep fighting & that’s the mentality we have.”

Along with honoring Sager on the court in Game 4, Curry plans to sign the one-of-a-kind shoes after the game and auction them off to benefit The Sager Strong Foundation. The link for the auction is set to go live on May 11 before the Warriors play the Grizzlies in Memphis for Game 5.
