It’s normal for high school students to want to go to where the party is, especially when picking a college to spend the next few years at.
For 4-star San Diego running back Roderick Robinson II, the party that a number of his friends are currently at is in Eugene. Robinson recently cut down his recruiting list to 6 schools and included the Oregon Ducks in the mix. He now has former teammate Jahlil Florence lobbying hard for him to come up to Eugene to play alongside him and fellow true freshman, Jalil Tucker, down the road after his final season of high school ball.

Florence, Tucker, and Robinson all played together at Lincoln High School and were considered a dynamic trio together. Florence enrolled early with the Ducks and had an impressive spring showing with one interception in the spring game. While Tucker finishes out his senior year and final high school track season, he is set to come to Eugene this summer and get ready for his freshman season.
It’s clear that Robinson has friends up north in Oregon and ones who are going to push hard for him to join them. He also has a pair of teammates who can answer any questions about the program, and show him how much fun they are having with the Ducks. That may be the inside scoop that Oregon needs to land a player like Robinson.
