Russ Yeast joins Rams after earning two degrees in five years

Russ Yeast earned his master’s degree recently, his second degree in only five years

Russ Yeast leaves the college ranks as an accomplished young man. He was a first-team All-Big 12 selection and played 58 total games in five years between Louisville and Kansas State.

He also worked extremely hard in the classroom to earn not just one degree, but two. The Rams rookie tweeted this week that he earned his master’s degree, a huge accomplishment for the seventh-round pick.

The Rams congratulated him on the feat, sharing the news on Twitter.

Yeast will need to carve out a role in the secondary in order to earn playing time as a rookie, and he’ll work hard to make that happen. His work ethic and character are two things that won’t be questioned at the next level as he gets started in the NFL.
