The Tennessee women’s tennis team has made the NCAA Tournament.
They Lady Vols (15-9) will be a No. 2 seed in the Raleigh Regional, hosted by North Carolina State. The Wolfpack is the tournament’s No. 6 overall seed.
Tennessee will open tournament play against Atlantic 10 Tournament champion VCU Saturday at 11 a.m. EDT.
In Saturday’s other regional dual match, host North Carolina State will play William & Mary at 2 p.m. EDT with the winners of those matches playing Sunday at 2 p.m. EDT.
The Lady Vols are making its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Tennessee has made the tournament every year during head coach Alison Ojeda’s tenure.
UT is 34-28 all-time in NCAA Tournament play and is making its 29th appearance in the event.
