The NFL draft has lost some meaning this year for a couple of years. First, the draft just isn’t as exciting at the top as it has been. Without any clear quarterbacks at the top and no real exciting “can’t miss prospects,” the focus has become more on the depth at certain positions. Wide receiver and edge rusher stand out to me while others see the great talent on the offensive line and secondary.
For the Cleveland Browns, the loss of three draft picks due to trades, including their first-rounder. also takes a little luster off the draft event. The team still has three picks in the top 100 to get impact players as well as a few later picks.
