Just a day after their spring game, the Longhorns have found themselves in a prime opportunity to bring in more receiver talent.
After landing two commitments just hours after the spring game on Saturday, Texas received positive news on the recruiting trail as four-star wide receiver Rodney Gallagher announced his top eight schools via Twitter.
Along with Texas, the Pennsylvania native also included schools such as Notre Dame, West Virginia, Oregon, and Penn State. Gallagher is rated the No. 2 overall prospect in the state and the No. 10 athlete in the country, according to 247Sports.

Gallagher is a do-it-all athlete, as not only has he played quarterback, receiver, and safety in high school, he doubles as a high school basketball star that averaged 19 points per game in two varsity seasons. He has multiple basketball offers, and even played for the renowned AAU program the North Coast Blue Chips.
He is projected as a high upside slot receiver, but still needs to develop as he has played quarterback for most of his high school career.
The Longhorns are looking to shore up the receiver room beyond the big three on campus right now, and Gallagher may be part of the plan to do so.
