Lady Vol Challenge: Tennessee softball defeats East Carolina

No. 14 Tennessee won its third game of the weekend, defeating East Carolina, 9-1, in six innings Sunday at the Lady Vol Challenge at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

The Lady Vols (33-13, 11-6 SEC) had a six-run third inning. Rylie West and McKenna Gibson each had two-run home runs.

Kiki Milloy opened Tennessee’s scoring against the Pirates (33-13, 2-10 AAC) with an RBI double. She scored when Zaida Puni hit a double.

East Carolina pulled to within 6-1 in the fourth inning. Logyn Estes hit a solo home run.

Puni singled and Milloy score. Milloy went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBIs and three stolen bases.

Milloy had an RBI single in the fifth inning before Kelcy Leach recorded an RBI double.

In the circle, Nicola Simpson improved to 2-0 as she pitched 2.1 innings in relief. She allowed one run, two hits and one walk.

Bailey McCachren started and pitched one inning. She yielded one hit and one walk.
