The NFL draft is next week and the Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim will select players he hopes will improve the team. Keim takes input from his front office and coaches to help shape his ultimate decisions, but sometimes players try to chime in.
Quarterback Kyler Murray is one of those players.
Keim describes Murray as “fun” in terms of his input for the draft and how the front office makes decisions.
“He’s so passionate about the game,” Keim told reporters at his predraft press conference on Thursday. “He’s a football junkie and that’s the kind of guy you like to have on your team. I love to hear from our players, particularly Kyler and ‘Hop’ (DeAndre Hopkins) and some of those guys. When you have a number of guys that are so involved – and Carson Palmer was like this – you get a different perspective from players, which is good.”
Murray was a predraft supporter of receiver Rondale Moore after working out with him. The Cardinals ended up selecting him in the second round.
It sounds like Murray has a bit of a wishlist himself.
“I won’t tell you what his wish list is, but he’s got one,” Keim said.
We will see if they end up getting any oof the players Murray likes.
