Tennessee super senior shortstop Ivy Davis has been named Southeastern Conference Co-Player of the week.
Davis, a native of Huntington Beach, California, led the No. 14 Lady Vols to a 4-0 record as Tennessee defeated Western Carolina and swept Texas A&M in a three-game SEC series at home.
She went 5-for-7 in the UT’s most recent four games and reached base safely 10 times.
Davis slugged 1.714 and reached base 10 times in 12 plate appearances. She had three extra-base hits, including two home runs and one double for the Lady Vols (30-12, 11-6 SEC). Davis also drew one walk and was hit by a pitch.
In Tennessee’s midweek game, a 9-1 victory against the Catamounts on the road, Davis hit two home runs.
