Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian did his homework on Agiye Hall

Hall had multiple instances of being in the dog house while playing under Nick Saban.

On Tuesday, the offseason got even better for Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Texas was able to add former five-star wide receiver Agiye Hall to their collection of transfer portal trophies alongside Quinn Ewers, Ryan Watts, Isaiah Neyor, and Jahleel Billingsley.

And Sark may not be done, as edge rusher Ochuan Mathis is still available and taking an official visit to Texas this Saturday, and linebacker Caleb Johnson remains on an official visit to Texas as of this moment.

However, there is a word of caution to the Hall story as 247’s Josh Pate points out in this video.

What homework is Pate referring to? Simply put, Hall had multiple instances of being in the dog house while playing under Nick Saban, enough so that he was dismissed from the team without even knowing about it. So, he is not risk-free.

Having said that, Sark just ran off multiple players from the Texas roster and is likely to run off more. He spent multiple days with Hall and his family, explaining what the expectations would be. He would not bring in a player he did not have faith (which is trust or confidence in what you have good reason to believe is true) would fit his locker room.

Whatever other concerns you may have about Sark, he clearly did his homework here.
