Texas receives two crystal ball predictions for Alabama transfer WR Agiye Hall

Texas is in strong position to add another elite WR.

Last season the wide receiver room was a major area of concern for the Longhorns, as freshman Xavier Worthy was the only consistent playmaker they had.

Steve Sarkisian and his staff made it a major point of emphasis to bring in some talent at the position, and did just that when they landed Isaiah Neyor who has been raved about during spring practices.

It seemed as if the wide receiver room had already improved as much as possible, besides waiting for the two pass catchers that Texas signed in the 2022 class in speedster in Brenen Thompson and gadget player Savion Red.

However, after what seemed to be a very rocky tenure at Alabama, former four-star wide receiver Agiye Hall entered his name into the transfer portal and is now considering Texas. He is someone who has previous relations with the Texas staff, as he was recruited to play in Sarkisian’s system at Alabama and his primary recruiter was Jeff Banks.

Hall was one of the many notable visitors in Austin over the Easter weekend. The visit seemed to have gone swimmingly for the Longhorns, as Hall’s father Vincent Hall recently expressed how he’d fit with the program to 247Sports.

On the field I think he’d fit in well. A lot of the players they all have the same personalities, outgoing just being teenagers enjoying themselves and being able to experience things outside of football. That’s something he definitely enjoyed, being there with the players.

247Sports’ experts felt strongly enough about the feedback that national writer Chris Hummer and Horns247’s Mike Roach entered crystal ball predictions for Hall in favor of Texas.

Adding the 6-foot-3 pass catcher to Texas’ receiver room would surely provide depth that the Longhorns have not had at that position in ages. Hall has the potential, but played sparingly at Alabama catching just four passes for 72 yards. He is currently ranked as the No. 5 transfer available in 247Sports‘ transfer portal.

As of now it seems Texas will be the only visit Hall takes at the moment, as his father expressed to 247Sports that he is focusing on finishing his semester at Alabama, which bodes extremely well for Sarkisian’s staff.
