In a welterweight unification bout Saturday, Errol Spence Jr. squares off with Yordenis Ugas at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The fight will begin around approximately 11:00 p.m. ET and can be viewed on Showtime pay-per-view. Below, we analyze the Spence Jr. vs. Ugas odds and lines, with picks and predictions.
Spence Jr. holds the UBC and IBF world welterweight titles. His last fight was also at this venue, as he topped Danny Garcia via unanimous decision in Dec. 2020. He bested Shawn Porter by split decision in Sept. 2019 at Staples Center in Los Angeles in his prior bout, and before that was a unanimous-decision win over Mikey Garcia at AT&T Stadium in March 2019.
The 35-year-old Ugas snuck by veteran Manny Pacquiao in Aug. 2021 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last time out, successfully defending the WBA super world welterweight title. This will be the first fight for Ugas at AT&T Stadium. Prior to his win over PacMan, he topped Abel Ramos via split decision at the Microsoft Theatre in L.A. in Sept. 2020.

Spence Jr. vs. Ugas: Picks and predictions
Records: Spence Jr. (27-0-0) | Ugas (27-4-0)
Fight result (2-way line or money line)
Spence Jr. (-750) will cost you seven and a half times your potential return, and that’s just not a recommended way to go.
It’s slightly cheaper to roll with Spence Jr. (-600) on the 3-way line, but that’s still too much risk for not enough reward.
PASS.
Over/Under (O/U)
Ugas has ended up going the distance in six consecutive fights, while Spence Jr. has fought to a decision in three straight fights since knocking out Carlos Ocampo Martinez in the first round at The Ford Center in Frisco, Texas in June 2018.
Spence Jr. has knockout ability, and therefore it’s worth a roll of the dice to play NO (+170): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE. Playing UNDER 10.5 ROUNDS (+240) is an even better value.
