The Oregon Ducks already lost a trio of players to the NCAA transfer portal this offseason, but help may be on the horizon for coach Dana Altman and his staff.
Jermaine Couisnard, a guard transfer from South Carolina, is down to seven schools he is choosing between – and Oregon made the list.
Oregon is listed alongside Gonzaga, Ohio State, Houston, DePaul, Maryland, and UMass, according to Joe Tipton of On3.
Couisnard entered the portal after two seasons with the Gamecocks, likely due to the firing of head coach Frank Martin.
The six-foot-four guard from Indiana averaged 12 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists last season, and he will have two years of eligibility remaining wherever he does end up.

Couisnard would fill the hole left by guard Eric Williams quite nicely in Eugene, as the team is in need of some scoring reinforcements on the wing.
Will Richardson has yet to announce whether he is returning or going pro, but either way this team could use another score first guard on the roster, and Couisnard would provide experience, scoring, and quality defense to Oregon’s guard rotation.
