Former Ravens CB Tavon Young reportedly joins new NFL team

Former Ravens cornerback Tavon Young reportedly has signed with a new NFL team

The Baltimore Ravens have seen multiple of their own free agents depart over the course of 2022 free agency. Cornerbacks Anthony Averett and Chris Westry are now with the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers respectively, center Bradley Bozeman also signed with Carolina, and others have found new homes as well.

On Thursday night, it was reported that former Baltimore cornerback Tavon Young signed a deal with the Chicago Bears. It marks yet another contributor in the Ravens’ 2021 secondary to move on, and Young will now go north and join the NFC.

Young was released by Baltimore back in February for cap savings despite the cornerback having a solid year out of the slot. Cornerback has shot up to be one of the major needs on the Ravens’ roster, and replacing the talent of Young on the field will be no easy task. It’s always come down to injuries with the former Temple star, and now Young will look to continue his NFL career in the Windy City.
