The Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Stefon Diggs agreed to a four-year extension worth near $100 million. It will keep the playmaker locked up in Buffalo through the 2027 season.
In inking Diggs to another contract, the Bills are getting a nice dose of praise nationally.
The words “love” and “Super Bowl” were used.
With that, here’s a rundown of some national media reactions to the Bills-Diggs contract extension:

Torrey Smith, former NFL wide receiver
I’ve never seen anyone work at their craft like @stefondiggs ! He had a goal to get to the league and he was GRINDING! He had a completely different mentality as a teenager. You could see the difference between him and his peers. His story wasn’t an accident. God and hard work!

Andrew Brandt, Sports Illustrated
The Bills now have Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs locked up through 2028.
No matter the price, without full future guarantees (only Deshaun Watson has that), these are "wins" for Bills.
The team now has contract control for 7 years with a rising Cap and non-guaranteed "out" years.— Andrew Brandt (@AndrewBrandt) April 6, 2022
Michael Salfino, Five Thirty Eight
The Bills trading basically Justin Jefferson AND paying all this money to Diggs has to be one of the worst trades in NFL history.

Art Meirov, Pro Football Focus
The #Bills and WR Stefon Diggs have agreed to terms on a mega 4-year, $104M extension that includes $70M guaranteed, per @AdamSchefter. One of the most underpaid receivers gets a well deserved extension and is now locked in for the long haul with Josh Allen.
