It was a brutal stretch of a few hours for the Oregon Ducks on Monday night, with a slew of players deciding to leave the team and start their future elsewhere.
It started with star Nyara Sabally announcing that she would be entering the WNBA draft, followed by both Sydney Parrish and Kylee Watson announcing that they intended to enter the transfer portal and look for a new team this offseason.
After all of that happened, a new report from The Oregonian’s James Crepea showed that guard Maddie Scherr also intends to enter the transfer portal after an up and down season with the Ducks.
Oregon women's basketball guard Maddie Scherr has entered the transfer portal, per source. That's 3 members of the 2020 recruiting class leaving hte program today, class lost Angela Dugalic last season to UCLA.

Scherr was a great defensive piece for the Ducks this past season, and stepped up massively early on when Te-Hina Paopao and Endyia Rogers were out with injuries. However, as the starting lineup returned to full health, Scherr was moved to a roll coming off of the bench. She was tremendous on defense throughout the season, but struggled offensively, averaging just 4.7 points per game.
