Riding a three-game losing streak, things won’t get any easier for the Golden State Warriors against the Eastern Conference-leading Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
On the second leg of a back-to-back, the Warriors will rest three key veterans against the Heat. With Steph Curry, Andre Iguodala and James Wiseman already ruled out, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Otto Porter Jr. will get the night off on Wednesday night.

With six players out, Steve Kerr and the Warriors will lean on Golden State’s youth alongside Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney. Third-year guard Jordan Poole and rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody will likely play increased roles against Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Kyle Lowry and the Heat.
Heading into Wednesday’s contest, Poole is rolling with 20 or more points in 10 consecutive games for the Warriors. During that span, Poole is averaging 25.2 points on 54.5% shooting from the field with 4.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. The shorthanded Warriors will need Poole to double down on Wednesday night to keep up with the Heat.
The Warriors will meet the Heat at 4:30 p.m. PT in South Beach on Wednesday night.
